FRANKFORT, Ky — Kentucky lawmakers say a new state law is intended to strengthen safety procedures for organ donation by requiring the process to stop if any signs of life are detected.
via Organ Donation safeguards.
The fact they were not already required to stop tells you how horrifying the state of Kentucky has been. One must choose whether to believe they care about the safety of the meat sack or the CMS funding related to the accreditation for Network for Hope.
Kentucky had to make a law so that medicos have moral support to intervene and stop cutting someone open when they stare at them in shock. Prior to said law, a significant number of them considered that an “‘involuntary reflex”. CMS refers to that as “neurological symptoms incompatible with organ donation”. No arrests or any penalties of any type, of course.
